Join our very own Tien Tran as they host a “Exploring the Spectrum of Love” themed Open Mic night in honor of Boostore Romance Day.

Let’s dim the lights and turn up the volume for Open Mic Night! Join us as a performer or attendee and cheer on your fellow artists. Play an instrument, sing a song, perform a dance, share your poetry or spoken word, or do a standup routine. You don’t need to be an expert – A Seat at the Table Books is a community safe space and supportive environment for all. All experience levels welcome.

Because we are open to the public during open mic, families may be present. Please adjust content as needed.

Please no outside food or drink; the cafe will be open through Intermission at 7:15.

About the host:

Tien Tran (she/they) is a bookseller and barista. Her Iconic Authors list includes Jane Austen, Isabel Allende, Gabriel García Márquez, Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o, James Baldwin, Toni Morrison, Octavia Butler, and Ursula K. Le Guin. Besides reading, she enjoys cooking, drinking tea, gardening, karaoke, and lucid dreaming.
